Its official name is “i Ano Kallithea”. The seat of the municipality is Patra and belongs to the geographical region of Peloponnesus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Ano Kallithea belonged to Kallitheas Local District, the former municipality of MESSATIDOS the prefecture of ACHAÏAS.
