Almyros (Greek: ο Αλμυρός) (Aigon Local Community - AIGEIRAS Municipal Section), belongs to AIGIALEIAS Municipality, ACHAÏAS Regional Unity located in Western Greece region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Almyros”. The seat of the municipality is Aigio and belongs to the geographical region of Peloponnesus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Almyros belonged to Aigon Local District, the former municipality of AIGEIRAS the prefecture of ACHAÏAS.
