Chortata (Greek: τα Χορτάτα) (Chortaton Local Community - APOLLONION Municipal Section), belongs to LEFKADAS Municipality, LEFKADAS Regional Unity located in Ionian Islands region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Chortata”. The seat of the municipality is Lefkada and belongs to the geographical region of Ionian Islands.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Chortata belonged to Chortaton Local District, the former municipality of APOLLONION the prefecture of LEFKADOS.
