Kouvalata (Greek: τα Κουβαλάτα) (Kouvalaton Local Community - PALIKIS Municipal Section), belongs to KEFALONIAS Municipality, KEFALLINIAS Regional Unity located in Ionian Islands region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Kouvalata”. The seat of the municipality is Argostoli and belongs to the geographical region of Ionian Islands.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kouvalata belonged to Kouvalaton Local District, the former municipality of PALIKIS the prefecture of KEFALLINIAS.
