Marmaras (Greek: ο Μαρμαράς) (Elaionos Local Community - SERRON Municipal Section), belongs to SERRON Municipality, SERRON Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Marmaras”. The seat of the municipality is Serres and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Marmaras belonged to Elaionos Local District, the former municipality of SERRON the prefecture of SERRON.
