Megara (Greek: τα Μέγαρα) (Megareon Municipal Community - MEGAREON Municipal Section), belongs to MEGAREON Municipality, DYTIKIS ATTIKIS Regional Unity located in Attiki region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Megara”. The seat of the municipality is Megara and belongs to the geographical region of Central Greece.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Megara belonged to Megareon Local District, the former municipality of MEGAREON the prefecture of ATTIKIS.
