Mitrousi (Greek: το Μητρούσι) (Mitrousiou Municipal Community - KAPETAN MITROUSIOU Municipal Section), belongs to SERRON Municipality, SERRON Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Mitrousion”. The seat of the municipality is Serres and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Mitrousi belonged to Mitrousiou Local District, the former municipality of KATO MITROUSIOU the prefecture of SERRON.
