Platania (Greek: τα Πλατάνια) (Sykeas Municipal Community - TORONIS Municipal Section), belongs to SITHONIAS Municipality, CHALKIDIKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Platania”. The seat of the municipality is Nikiti and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Platania belonged to Sykeas Local District, the former municipality of TORONIS the prefecture of CHALKIDIKIS.
