Its official name is “i Saloniki”. The seat of the municipality is Paramythia and belongs to the geographical region of Epirus.
During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Saloniki belonged to Salonikis Local District, the former municipality of PARAMYTHIAS the prefecture of THESPROTIAS.
