Aktounta (Greek: τα Ακτούντα) (Ardaktou Local Community - LAMPIS Municipal Section), belongs to AGIOU VASILEIOU Municipality, RETHYMNOU Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Aktounta”. The seat of the municipality is Spili and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Aktounta belonged to Ardaktou Local District, the former municipality of LAMPIS the prefecture of RETHYMNIS.
