Kastania (Greek: η Καστανιά) (Kastaneas Local Community - KOLINDROU Municipal Section), belongs to PYDNAS - KOLINDROU Municipality, PIERIAS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Kastanea”. The seat of the municipality is Aiginio and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kastania belonged to Kastaneas Local District, the former municipality of KOLINDROU the prefecture of PIERIAS.
