Mesia (Greek: η Μεσιά) (Mesias Local Community - PIEREON Municipal Section), belongs to PANGAIOU Municipality, KAVALAS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Mesia”. The seat of the municipality is Eleftheroupoli and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Mesia belonged to Mesias Local District, the former municipality of PIEREON the prefecture of KAVALAS.
