Psilokastro (Greek: το Ψηλόκαστρο) (Ano Pyxariou Local Community - NIKIFOROU Municipal Section), belongs to PARANESTIOU Municipality, DRAMAS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Ypsilokastron”. The seat of the municipality is Paranesti and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Psilokastro belonged to Ano Pyxariou Local District, the former municipality of NIKIFOROU the prefecture of DRAMAS.
