Leptokarya (Greek: η Λεπτοκαρυά) (Giannitson Municipal Community - GIANNITSON Municipal Section), belongs to PELLAS Municipality, PELLAS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Leptokarya”. The seat of the municipality is Giannitsa and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Leptokarya belonged to Giannitson Local District, the former municipality of GIANNITSON the prefecture of PELLIS.
