Petrochori (Greek: το Πετροχώρι) (Petrochoriou Local Community - PYLIS Municipal Section), belongs to PYLIS Municipality, TRIKALON Regional Unity located in Thessalia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Petrochorion”. The seat of the municipality is Pyli and belongs to the geographical region of Thessalia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Petrochori belonged to Petrochoriou Local District, the former municipality of PYLIS the prefecture of TRIKALON.
