Monastiri (Greek: το Μοναστήρι) (Kechrou Local Community - KECHROU Municipal Section), belongs to ARRIANON Municipality, RODOPIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Monastirion”. The seat of the municipality is Filyra and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Monastiri belonged to Kechrou Local District, the former community of KECHROU the prefecture of RODOPIS.
