Ano Amaxades (Greek: οι Άνω Αμαξάδες) (Amaxadon Local Community - AMAXADON Municipal Section), belongs to IASMOU Municipality, RODOPIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “oi Ano Amaxades”. The seat of the municipality is Iasmos and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Ano Amaxades belonged to Amaxadon Local District, the former community of AMAXADON the prefecture of RODOPIS.
