Chionato (Greek: το Χιονάτο) (Chionadou Local Community - AKRITON Municipal Section), belongs to NESTORIOU Municipality, KASTORIAS Regional Unity located in Western Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Chionaton”. The seat of the municipality is Nestorio and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Chionato belonged to Chionadou Local District, the former municipality of AKRITON the prefecture of KASTORIAS.
