Chounakia (Greek: τα Χουνάκια) (Foinikountos Local Community - METHONIS Municipal Section), belongs to PYLOU - NESTOROS Municipality, MESSINIAS Regional Unity located in Peloponnisos region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Chounakia”. The seat of the municipality is Pylos and belongs to the geographical region of Peloponnesus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Chounakia belonged to Foinikountos Local District, the former municipality of METHONIS the prefecture of MESSINIAS.
