Farsala (Greek: τα Φάρσαλα) (Farsalon Municipal Community - FARSALON Municipal Section), belongs to FARSALON Municipality, LARISAS Regional Unity located in Thessalia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Farsala”. The seat of the municipality is Farsala and belongs to the geographical region of Thessalia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Farsala belonged to Farsalon Local District, the former municipality of FARSALON the prefecture of LARISIS.
