Geroplatanos (Greek: ο Γεροπλάτανος) (Geroplatanou Local Community - ZERVOCHORION Municipal Section), belongs to POLYGYROU Municipality, CHALKIDIKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Geroplatanos”. The seat of the municipality is Polygyros and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Geroplatanos belonged to Geroplatanou Local District, the former municipality of ZERVOCHORION the prefecture of CHALKIDIKIS.
