Gorgopi (Greek: η Γοργόπη) (Gorgopis Local Community - AXIOUPOLIS Municipal Section), belongs to PAIONIAS Municipality, KILKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Gorgopi”. The seat of the municipality is Polykastro and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Gorgopi belonged to Gorgopi Local District, the former municipality of AXIOUPOLIS the prefecture of KILKIS.
