Its official name is “i Kallithea”. The seat of the municipality is Arta and belongs to the geographical region of Epirus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kallithea belonged to Pistianon Local District, the former municipality of XIROVOUNIOU the prefecture of ARTIS.
