Karavados (Greek: ο Καραβάδος) (Karavadou Local Community - ARKALOCHORIOU Municipal Section) belongs to MINOA PEDIADAS Municipality, IRAKLEIOU Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Karavados”. The seat of the municipality is Evangelismos Kastelliou and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Karavados belonged to Karavadou Local District, the former municipality of ARKALOCHORIOU the prefecture of IRAKLEIOU.
