Kardamiana (Greek: τα Καρδαμιανά) (Gergeris Local Community - ROUVA Municipal Section) belongs to GORTYNAS Municipality, IRAKLEIOU Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Kardamiana”. The seat of the municipality is Agioi Deka and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kardamiana belonged to Gergeris Local District, the former municipality of ROUVA the prefecture of IRAKLEIOU.
