Kotyli (Greek: η Κοτύλη) (Kotylis Municipal Community - KOTYLIS Municipal Section), belongs to MYKIS Municipality, XANTHIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Kotyli”. The seat of the municipality is Sminthi and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kotyli belonged to Kotylis Local District, the former community of KOTYLIS the prefecture of XANTHIS.
