Koufi (Greek: η Κούφη) (Koufis Local Community - LAPPAION Municipal Section), belongs to RETHYMNIS Municipality, RETHYMNOU Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.
Its official name is “i Koufi”. The seat of the municipality is Rethymno and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.
During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Koufi belonged to Koufis Local District, the former municipality of LAPPAION the prefecture of RETHYMNIS.
