Kounoupia (Greek: η Κουνουπιά) (Kounoupias Local Community - LEONIDIOU Municipal Section), belongs to NOTIAS KYNOURIAS Municipality, ARKADIAS Regional Unity located in Peloponnisos region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Kounoupia”. The seat of the municipality is Leonidio and belongs to the geographical region of Peloponnesus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kounoupia belonged to Kounoupias Local District, the former municipality of LEONIDIOU the prefecture of ARKADIAS.
