Koutso (Greek: το Κουτσό) (Koutsou Local Community - VISTONIDOS Municipal Section), belongs to AVDIRON Municipality, XANTHIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Koutson”. The seat of the municipality is Genisea and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Koutso belonged to Koutsou Local District, the former municipality of VISTONIDOS the prefecture of XANTHIS.
