Kouvaras (Greek: ο Κουβαράς) (Kouvara Local Community - KOUVARA Municipal Section), belongs to SARONIKOU Municipality, ANATOLIKIS ATTIKIS Regional Unity located in Attiki region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Kouvaras”. The seat of the municipality is Kalyvia Thorikou and belongs to the geographical region of Central Greece.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kouvaras belonged to Kouvara Local District, the former community of KOUVARA the prefecture of ATTIKIS.
