Marmaras (islet) (Greek: ο Μαρμαράς) belongs to SYMIS Municipality, RODOU Regional Unity located in South Aegean region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.
Its official name is “o Marmaras”. The seat of the municipality is Symi and belongs to the geographical region of Aegean Islands.
During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Marmaras belonged to Symis Local District, the former municipality of SYMIS the prefecture of DODEKANISOU.
