Mavroneri (Greek: το Μαυρονέρι) (Mavroneriou Local Community - PIKROLIMNIS Municipal Section), belongs to KILKIS Municipality, KILKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Mavronerion”. The seat of the municipality is Kilkis and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Mavroneri belonged to Mavroneriou Local District, the former municipality of PIKROLIMNIS the prefecture of KILKIS.
