Its official name is “ai Mesai Thermai”. The seat of the municipality is Sminthi and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Meses Thermes belonged to Thermon Local District, the former community of THERMON the prefecture of XANTHIS.
