Metaxas (Greek: ο Μεταξάς) (Metaxa Local Community - SERVION Municipal Section), belongs to SERVION - VELVENTOU Municipality, KOZANIS Regional Unity located in Western Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “o Metaxas”. The seat of the municipality is Servia and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Metaxas belonged to Metaxa Local District, the former municipality of SERVION the prefecture of KOZANIS.
