Its official name is “to Mikrolivadon”. The seat of the municipality is Grevena and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Mikrolivado belonged to Mikrolivadou Local District, the former municipality of GORGIANIS the prefecture of GREVENON.
