Oraio (Greek: το Ωραίο) (Oraiou Local Community - MYKIS Municipal Section), belongs to MYKIS Municipality, XANTHIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.
Its official name is “to Oraion”. The seat of the municipality is Sminthi and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.
During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Oraio belonged to Oraiou Local District, the former municipality of MYKIS the prefecture of XANTHIS.
