Pelagia (Greek: η Πελαγία) (Pelagias Local Community - MARONEIAS Municipal Section), belongs to MARONEIAS - SAPON Municipality, RODOPIS Regional Unity located in Eastern Macedonia - Thrace region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Pelagia”. The seat of the municipality is Sapes and belongs to the geographical region of Thrace.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Pelagia belonged to Pelagias Local District, the former municipality of MARONEIAS the prefecture of RODOPIS.
