Platani (Greek: η Πλατάνη) (Platanis Local Community - EDESSAS Municipal Section), belongs to EDESSAS Municipality, PELLAS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Platani”. The seat of the municipality is Edessa and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Platani belonged to Platanis Local District, the former municipality of EDESSAS the prefecture of PELLIS.
