Platania (Greek: τα Πλατάνια) (Platanion Local Community - AVLONOS Municipal Section), belongs to TRIFYLIAS Municipality, MESSINIAS Regional Unity located in Peloponnisos region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Platania”. The seat of the municipality is Kyparissia and belongs to the geographical region of Peloponnesus.
