Platania (Greek: τα Πλατάνια) (Nikolitsiou Local Community - THESPROTIKOU Municipal Section), belongs to ZIROU Municipality, PREVEZAS Regional Unity located in Epirus region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “ta Platania”. The seat of the municipality is Filippiada and belongs to the geographical region of Epirus.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Platania belonged to Nikolitsiou Local District, the former municipality of THESPROTIKOU the prefecture of PREVEZIS.
