Pogonia (Greek: η Πογωνιά) (Pogonias Local Community - PALAIROU Municipal Section), belongs to AKTIOU - VONITSAS Municipality, AITOLOAKARNANIAS Regional Unity located in Western Greece region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Pogonia”. The seat of the municipality is Vonitsa and belongs to the geographical region of Central Greece.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Pogonia belonged to Pogonias Local District, the former municipality of PALAIROU the prefecture of AITOLIAS KAI AKARNANIAS.
