Pylaia (Greek: η Πυλαία) (Pylaias Municipal Community - PYLAIAS Municipal Section), belongs to PYLAIAS - CHORTIATI Municipality, THESSALONIKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Pylaia”. The seat of the municipality is Panorama and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Pylaia belonged to Pylaias Local District, the former municipality of PYLAIAS the prefecture of THESSALONIKIS.
