Venerato (Greek: το Βενεράτο) (Veneratou Local Community - PALIANIS Municipal Section) belongs to IRAKLEIOU Municipality, IRAKLEIOU Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “to Veneraton”. The seat of the municipality is Irakleio and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Venerato belonged to Veneratou Local District, the former municipality of PALIANIS the prefecture of IRAKLEIOU.
