Its official name is “to Veneton”. The seat of the municipality is Velestino and belongs to the geographical region of Thessalia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Veneto belonged to Keramidiou Local District, the former community of KERAMIDIOU the prefecture of MAGNISIAS.
