Vouves (Greek: οι Βούβες) (Vouvon Local Community - KOLYMVARIOU Municipal Section), belongs to PLATANIA Municipality, CHANION Regional Unity located in Crete region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.
Its official name is “ai Vouvai”. The seat of the municipality is Gerani and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.
During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Vouves belonged to Vouvon Local District, the former municipality of KOLYMVARIOU the prefecture of CHANION.
