Akropotamia (Greek: η Ακροποταμιά) (Leipsydriou Local Community - KILKIS Municipal Section), belongs to KILKIS Municipality, KILKIS Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Akropotamia”. The seat of the municipality is Kilkis and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Akropotamia belonged to Leipsydriou Local District, the former municipality of KILKIS the prefecture of KILKIS.
