Kivotos (Greek: η Κιβωτός) (Kivotou Local Community - IRAKLEOTON Municipal Section), belongs to GREVENON Municipality, GREVENON Regional Unity located in Western Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Kivotos”. The seat of the municipality is Grevena and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Kivotos belonged to Kivotou Local District, the former municipality of IRAKLEOTON the prefecture of GREVENON.
