Peponia (Greek: η Πεπονιά) (Peponias Local Community - SKOUTAREOS Municipal Section), belongs to SERRON Municipality, SERRON Regional Unity located in Central Macedonia region, according to the administrative division of Greece as altered by “Kallikratis” project.

Its official name is “i Peponia”. The seat of the municipality is Serres and belongs to the geographical region of Macedonia.

During the former administrative division of Greece (“Kapodistrias” project) and until 2010, Peponia belonged to Peponias Local District, the former municipality of SKOUTAREOS the prefecture of SERRON.
